Fatherhood is a calling, and grace meets us in every season.
The story behind Dear Dads
I was wrong. My children didn’t need a perfect dad. They needed a present one.
I thought fatherhood was about discipline. I thought good intentions were enough. I thought saying “I love you” mattered more than making sure my children felt it.
Over the years, fatherhood has humbled me. I’ve experienced it in nearly every season—from raising adult children, to becoming a stepdad, to parenting a young son and welcoming a newborn.
I haven’t done everything right. I’ve missed moments. I’ve lost my patience. I’ve had to look my children in the eyes and say, “I’m sorry.”
That’s why Dear Dads exists: not because I have all the answers, but because none of us were meant to figure this out alone.
“It’s never too late to listen. Never too late to apologize. Never too late to become the father your children deserve.”
What guides us
Fatherhood is a calling, and grace meets us in every season.
Strong dads aren’t afraid to admit when they get it wrong.
Our kids remember how we made them feel—and whether we showed up.
Every father can take one honest step forward today.
